Amazon.com Product Description Whether you're commuting to work or cruising around town, the Schwinn Crest urban women's hybrid bike offers a comfortably smooth ride. The Crest is outfitted with a 17-inch aluminum hybrid frame and an SR Suntour front suspension fork, helping the bike hold up to shocks from bumpy or rough terrain. The Shimano TX-31 rear derailleur and SRAM 21-speed grip shifters, meanwhile, give you a host of gear options for flat or hilly rides. And riders will love the 700cc rims and 700 x 38c hybrid tires, which are thinner than mountain bike tires but sturdier than most road bike options. Other features include an SR Suntour front derailleur, an alloy adjustable stem with a 30mm rise comfort bar, and alloy linear pull brakes. Specifications - Frame: 17-inch aluminum hybrid

so good so far July 28, 2010 D. C. Hernandez (Ogden, UT United States) I really like this bike, the only problems I have had with it are after a couple rides, learning the gears, I had to get them adjusted by a shop, random gears kept slipping. After our second ride the front mud guard fell off I blame my husband for not tightening the nut tight enough and on the same ride a screw in the seat that goes into the springs fell out. After a call to Amazon they credited me (instead of me returning the whole bike instead of just the seat) enough to go buy myself a new seat and have a little left over.
Also over all my husband said this bike was a piece of cake to put together, he thought it would be a (his saying) a two beer project and it was only half a beer
Great bike for the price!! June 7, 2010 L. Minniear (where the heck is Parma MI?) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I just returned from the first 20 mile ride on this bike and I must say it was great. I have always had men's bikes(10 speeds & mountain bikes) and this is my first woman's bike. I am 5'5" and it fits me perfectly. The gearing is great for urban riding and I can ride in a more upright position, something I could not do on my mountain bike. I find the fenders and rear rack a real plus. My husband assembled the bike in about half an hour and with a little tweeking of the derailleurs it was ready to go. Amazon had the best price and shipping was realitively quick. Great value for the price. The only drawback I see is the water bottle mount is very low and in between the frame so I don't know if I will install a holder. My old bike had thumb shifters which I prefere but I will get used to the twist shift. I don't think that you will be disappointed with this bike. Cute color too sort of a bug green!
Love this bike! April 18, 2010 Cindy L. Dailey 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
For the price, this bike cannot be beat. I am so pleased with the way it looks and it handles really well. Once assembled, I took it to a bike shop for a little fine tuning. The guy said it was a very good bike, with really nice components. If you are not a serious biker, this is a great choice.
Great commute bike February 11, 2010 Bethany Foshee (TX , United States) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is a great bike at a great price. It is a little bigger/heavier than my last bike, but it's great for getting to work and for working out on my trainer at home.
Excellent commuter bike for women January 17, 2010 Cynthia R. (Burlington, Vermont) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
This is really a great bike, and I've owned some great bikes. It does not come with model specific instructions, but it's not to difficult for anyone who has ever raised or lowerd a seat or handlebars or changed a flat tire. Be sure to have your allen wrenches ready. You will have to put on the handlebars, the front fender and wheel, the seat and the pedals (I added toe clips to my pedals). This is a good solid commuter bike for the price.
UPDATE: I have been riding this bike for a few months now through the Vermont winter. I still love it. I fell on a patch of ice on this bike hard enough to break a bone in my left hand. The front wheel went a bit out of wack and I ended up doing a little bit of work on it - nothing major. Still, I have the skills to do the work myself. If I had to take it to a bike shop it still would have been worth the money to repair it. Even with the added expense, this bike is saving me much bus fare and will pay for itself in the first year. I used a milk crate to add a basket to the back rack. This is still the best commuter bike I have ever had, and I have had bikes that cost a great deal more than this one did. I still say BUY BUY BUY!!!
